Immune Builder Juice

I love this juice to help build my immune system.  It is sweet, with all of the good kind of sugars, which makes it easy to drink.  I always use all organic vegetables.

4 carrots
1/2 – 1 beet ( depending on size). If you are new to juicing beets, start out with 1/2 and work up.
2 oranges peeled
1/2 inch of ginger.

Wash all the veggies.  There is no need to peel.
When juicing the fiber is removed from all of the fruit and vegetables making it basically “pre-digested”.  This allows your body to easily absorb all of the nutrients.
Carrots are a wonderful source of Beta-Carotene.  Our bodies turn Beta-Carotene into vitamin A.  This is important because it helps the body regulate the immune system and fight off infections by keeping our T-cells in circulation.
When juicing the beet, you can use just the root or the greens also, depending on how you purchase them.  Traditionally beets have always been known for their healing powers.  Beets have a detoxifying effect on your entire body.  These little red gems will purify your blood, as well as, maximize the amount of oxygen they carry.  Beets contain many antioxidants, minerals and vitamins including; A, B1,B2, B3, C, folic acid, magnesium, phosphorus, and many more.
Oranges give us that well known antioxidant, Vitamin C.  This is so important to the body because Vitamin C protects the body from the harmful effects of free radicals that could damage our bodies.
Apple juice is rich in  flavonoids and polyphenols, which are both strong antioxidants and can help detoxify the body of harmful substances.  They also contain malic acid that helps maintain liver functions and improves overall digestion.
Last, but definitely not least, Ginger, which is considered an herb.  You might think of ginger when trying to settle an upset stomach, but ginger is also used for its anti-inflammatory and anti- viral properties.  It is also a diaphoretic, which means that ginger stimulates sweating and releasing toxins through the skin.
I like to drink this juice once a day to keep my immune system at its best!
