Suppression of Ovarian Function May Reduce Breast Cancer Recurrence

In a study evaluating the impacts of ovarian suppression on breast cancer recurrence rates, researchers documented improvements in risk of recurrence and found that women under the age of 35 saw the biggest reduction in risk of recurrence.  Unlike hysterectomy, patients receiving ovarian suppression injections can reverse the effects by stopping injections if/when they wish to have children.
